The BBF97 is a double-barreled combination shotgun with a vertical barrel arrangement (lower rifled, upper smoothbore). This combination makes the weapon versatile, allowing you to hunt big game and birds equally well. Advantages over the famous tees are lighter weight and dimensions, and maneuverability.
The history of the model dates back to 1995, when Blaser designers developed a vertical with independent barrels that swing freely. Now, the effect of shifting the average point of impact during a series of shots remained inherent only in shotguns made in the “old fashioned” way (with traditionally soldered barrel blocks). In addition, it became possible to shoot the barrels independently and combine their point of impact together (for any ammunition used).
In contrast to the BBF95, the BBF97 is more advanced and hunting-friendly. With two independent triggers, you can quickly fire the first shot from any barrel of your choice, and the second shot does not require re-assembling the firing pin.
